Thirsty Souls

Thirsty Souls: Thirsty Thursday

This week we're thirsty for a glass to raise. This collection of CALIWATER signature cocktails is sure to keep spirits high at your next soirée.

If you can't make it to Santa Clara for the big game, you'll probably be hosting (or attending) a Super Bowl party.  People expect punch, but you can bring unexpected pizzazz with this classy recipe courtesy of Petite in Pearls.

Ingredients (serves 4):

1 cup of CALIWATER Cactus Water

1 cup raspberry lemonade

1 cup prosecco

Raspberries for garnish

Before you start make sure all of your ingredients are chilled. Pour Cactus Water, raspberry lemonade, and prosecco in a small pitcher or measuring cup. Stir well and divide between 4 flutes. Garnish with fresh raspberries.

2. FreeSpirited Cactberry-Orange Blend

This mix of CALIWATER, fresh blackberries, and orange whisky is the perfect marriage of tart and sweet fruits. Blackberries are the state fruit of Alabama and oranges represent Florida, so serve this up in Mason jars next time you take a road trip down South.

Ingredients (serves 4):

For the liquor (per serving):

  • Blend blackberries with cactus water.  You can strain out the seeds and stuff, if you don't want them, but they're good for you. :)
  • Add in recommended liquor per 1 cup of fluid over ice.

3. CALIWATER Mimosa

Enjoy a leisurely brunch at Dudley Market in Venice and then laze at home with this Cactus Water/blush champagne combo for a Sunday that's totally next level.

4. CALIWATER + Tequila

Mix Cactus Water from the prickly pear fruit with tequila from the blue agave plant for a truly delectable desert drink. Savor sipping on the porch with your crew while you plan your next getaway to the Grand Canyon#Squadgoals.

5. CALIWATER Prickly Pear Margarita

CALIWATER calls LA home, and one legendary origin-story claims the margarita was birthed at the Rancho La Gloria restaurant in Tijuana. This specially crafted drink speaks volumes for both sides of the border.

Bring 2 prickly pears, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 and 1/2 cups of water to a boil and then strain it for your home made syrup.

Next, combine 2 ounces of tequila, 1/2 ounce of triple sec, 1 and 1/2 ounces of lime juice, and 2 ounces of the home made syrup.

Pour over ice, salt your rim, and enjoy! For a little extra flavor, add a splash of CALIWATER.

6. CALIWATER / Vogue Recipes

Vogue keeps its fingers on the pulse of fashion in the streets of NYC, the runways of Milan, and the boutiques of Paris. They know what's hot, and they're digging CALIWATER.
